2017 Invasive Removal - Glover Archbold South - Bamboo Removal - 9.16.17

Join the National Park Service and Rock Creek Conservancy for a special bamboo invasive removal volunteer event. We will be finishing the bamboo removal that we started back in the Spring! We rarely remove bamboo so this is a chance to show your support against one of Rock Creek Park's most invasive plants. This event requires the use of tools like saws and loppers and will be for volunteers 18 or older.
Date and Time: Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 9:45 am to 12:00 pm
Where: The work area of this site is at the very bottom of the Glover Archbold Trail near the intersection of Canal Rd and Foxhall Rd NW. Specifically 3619 Canal Rd, NW but parking is unavailable at this site.
Parking is available around the corner near the intersection of Foxhall Ave NW and MacArthur Blvd NW. Details on parking will be shared with all volunteers.

What to Wear: Please dress appropriately for the weather. Since we will be working in the brush, we recommend all volunteers wear long sleeves and pants.
What to Bring: Tools and gloves will be provided. Feel free to bring your own tools and gloves if you have them.
Weather/Cancellation Policy: If it is raining on the morning of the event, it will be canceled. All signups will be updated.
