First Day Hike: Rugged Ramble Through Rock Creek Park-South

When: Monday, January 1st, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Where: Meet outside Peirce Mill. 2401 Tilden Street NW Washington, DC. Parking is available along the street and in the lot of Picnic Area #1 across from the Mill.

What: Start the new year out on the right foot by joining Rock Creek Conservancy for a three-mile hike over the most technical trails in Rock Creek Park. Learn about the park’s “great nature” and rich heritage while scrambling along the “Little Billy Goat Trail” and Theodore Roosevelt Trail. Please dress for the cold weather, wear shoes (not sandals), and bring a snack and water. Email Scott Einberger at seinberger@rockcreekconservancy.org to register for this free event.
