Over a hundred volunteers came out to celebrate the Martin Luther King Day by volunteering with Rock Creek Conservancy. Kids and adults from across the area came out to make our parks more healthy and beautiful. And President Obama, who fielded 15 Cabinet members to participate in the National Day of Service, sent Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood to work with us!
Rock Creek is a source of healing tranquility for Katie, a Montgomery County resident who visits the park every day to take one photo.

A new chapter has begun. FORCE--Friends of Rock Creek's Environment--is now Rock Creek Conservancy.
We are a nonprofit organization of people who love Rock Creek and want to preserve this green oasis enjoyed by millions in the capital region. Since 2005, we have worked in Washington, DC, and Montgomery County, MD, for a safe, healthy, and beautiful Rock Creek.
Our new name is simpler and better reflects our mission to protect and restore Rock Creek and its waters, parks, and lands. Please join us!
