Rock Creek Conservancy Partnership Opportunities
Rock Creek and its surrounding parklands are a valuable natural asset for every local business and its employees and customers. Rock Creek Park receives more than two million recreational visits a year and enhances the quality of life for millions of Washington area residents.
Below, please find a selection of potential activations to connect your business, organization, or school to Rock Creek, while showcasing your commitment to the local environment.
PRIVATE GROUP VOLUNTEER EVENT
These two-hour service events are led by Rock Creek Conservancy staff and include all supplies and a brief presentation on how the volunteer efforts benefit Rock Creek and its parklands. Invasive removals are exclusively held at our mini-oasis sites throughout DC, whereas litter cleanups can take place at a broader array of sites throughout DC and Montgomery County. Private group volunteer events can be arranged for corporate groups, nonprofits, and schools. The Conservancy may be able to offer reduced rates to nonprofits and schools based on availability.
Requested donation – $1,500
Discounted rates may be available to nonprofits and schools based on availability.
Additional fees may apply based on the size of the group or for certain peak times of year (Earth Day or National Public Lands Day).
Final date and location are subject to approval by the National Park Service or Montgomery County.
Private Group Carter Barron Amphitheater Cleanup
Join Rock Creek Conservancy and the National Park Service for a cleanup of the Carter Barron Amphitheater. Volunteers will hear a brief presentation on the history of the Amphitheater and plans for revitalization. Volunteers will remove debris, paint, clear leaf litter, weed, sweep, and/or trim back invasive plants, helping preserve the amphitheater while it awaits future restoration. This is a unique opportunity to get a 'behind the scenes' look at the amphitheater and help take care of an important community resource.
Requested donation – $2,500
Additional fees may apply based on the size of the group or for certain peak times of year (Earth Day or National Public Lands Day)
