How to Get There:

Complimentary valet parking will be provided to guests at the Nature Center. From Military Road, turn onto Glover Road (across from St Johns College High School) and head up the hill. Take a slight left where the road forks, then the first left into the driveway of the nature center. If coming up the hill from Beach Drive, the nature center entrance is on the left after the maintenance yard. 

Follow signs for valet parking as you enter the lot. Please bring your valet key, if your car has one. We also encourage alternative transportation options like bike, bus, or rideshare.

What to Expect: 

The Rock Creek Gala is the annual fundraising event for Rock Creek Conservancy and supports the organization’s year-round activities in the park. The Gala will be hosted just outside the nature center, with tents, fire pits, and lots of fun! 

What About the Weather?

The event will take place under the shelter of a tent, so rain or shine, the party will go on!

Will There be Food?  

Heavy hors d'oeuvres from Founding Farmers Catering and chili from Ben’s Chili Bowl will be served alongside craft cocktails and mocktails. We’ll have the ingredients to make s’mores at fire pits, and other fun surprises. 

What Will We Do?

There will be a short program featuring leadership from Rock Creek Conservancy and the National Park Service. Guests are invited to support Rock Creek Conservancy’s $40,000 fundraising goal during a live appeal/paddle raise. We will end the night with sweet treats to celebrate a successful night in support of Rock Creek and its watershed!

What Should I Wear? 

We recommend “forest fancy” attire and encourage you to dress appropriately for the park and the weather. Many will come straight from work in whatever attire that means; others may dress up at home before heading over  - please wear what works for you! We will be on grass, so please choose shoes accordingly. Enjoying the natural beauty of the park means being ready to embrace a little bit of nature and all that entails.  

What to do before the Gala: 

All guests will be asked to check in upon arrival. To expedite this process, we kindly request that you complete this form in advance of October 15th. By entering your information in advance, you will be channeled through the “Express Check-In” line and experience a speedy entry into the festivities. 

How do I get my ticket?

There is no hard copy ticket for this event. Your name will be on our attendance list at the check-in or express check-in onsite. Please encourage your guests to do online express check-in before the event, or send their contact information to gala@rockcreekconservancy.org.
